MATTEL AND K.E. MATHIASEN INTEND TO ENTER STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

Mattel, the world’s largest toy manufacturer, intend to sign an exclusive distribution agreement with the K.E. Mathiasen Group in the Nordics. With K.E. Mathiasen being the leading distributor of toys and licensed products to children in the Nordics, the agreement is a strategic move by Mattel to expand its distribution of brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price in the Nordic region.

K.E. Mathiasen A/S was established in 1963, and for many years, the company was owned and managed by the second and third generation of its founder, K.E. Mathiasen. Today, the company is owned by TOP-TOY Group (see more at www.top-toy.dk).

Since its foundation K.E. Mathiasen A/S has gone through a fantastic development and today the company is a leading distributor in the Nordic countries within toys and licensed products for children. The turnover exceeds 145 million Euros and the group has more than 210 employees in 4 countries. The corporate head office is located in the Western part of Aarhus, the second largest town in Denmark.

Costumers, Sales & Logistics

We import our products from all over the world and serve thousands of retailers in our different markets. We cooperate with the market leading retail chains as well as with strong individual retailers in each country. We have 5 major showrooms in the Nordic region, and our large and experienced sales staff is in constant contact with our costumers. From our large warehouse in Denmark we serve our Nordic costumers on a day-to-day basis.
